We were contacted by this customer who required a set of bespoke gauges for his 964 restoration. The brief was to design and produce a tachometer with a tartan inner ring to match the fabric cloth used in his restoration. The speedometer and complimenting minor gauges were designed to resemble the original 964 instruments but feature modern technologies.
The pictures below show the completed dashboard and the restored vehicle. The dial face was made using a combination of laser cutting and digital printing for the tartan effect.
The bezel on the tachometer is shot-blasted brass with gold spray as is the pointer cap.
