Designing the gauges for the Noble M600 Supercar
The Noble M600 Supercar. Hand-built and British-made. Sleek, stylish and with an acceleration of 0-60mph in 3 seconds. This is the ultimate Supercar.
CAI has been working with Noble Automotive since designing and building the gauges for the critically-acclaimed M12 GTO supercar project. Subsequently, the Noble engineering team turned to CAI when considering the design and manufacture of the gauges for the M600.
When working on a project like the Noble M600, CAI’s design team focus on ensuring that the look, feel and functionality of the gauges reflect the unique styling of the car. The attention to detail is paramount, with each car being bespoke and hand-built to a client’s individual requirements. The car is designed to be driven, with less reliance on driver assistance. This is British automotive engineering excellence.
The M600’s carbon fibre composite body is super-light (1198 kg) and the engine has an impressive power to weight ratio of 542bhp per tonne. The M600’s top speed in an estimated 225 mph, accelerating from 0-120 mph in just 8.9 seconds (Autocar).
Since the M600 Coupe launched the supercar to the world, Noble has released the M600 CarbonSport and M600 Speedster.
The instrumentation is positioned on the main dashboard behind the steering wheel and also along a central consul between the drivers and passenger seats. CAI designed and supplied the:
When Peter Boutwood, Noble Automotive’s Managing Director visited CAI, he arrived in his M600. As the M600 wove through the valleys to Abercrave, near Swansea in South Wales, the throb of the engine and stunning appearance turned a lot of heads. Up close, it is apparent that photographs alone do not do the car justice. And how can they? Only when you get the opportunity to see and sit inside the M600 is it possible to appreciate the quality and style. No wonder Jeremy Clarkson lavished it with praise when he drove a M600 on Top Gear.
For CAI, designing and building the gauges for the M600 was simply an incredible project.
